Sick of playing games.
I've been finding that games have really absorbed too much of my time and dominated my life. So I decided to wipe my computer clean of all games on its hard drive this morning, save my own.
My feelings are much more complicated than that, but I'm in no mood to write an editorial.
This does not mean I am done game making yet, however. For all of the canceled projects in the past, I owe you guys at least one more complete project. And I'd be glad to help with SW: CE.
However, I really need to take a break from all this. I might start playing games casually again in few months, but its just as likely that I may never return to them.
Just so you guys know why I'm not on Steam. I'll explain my decision in full later.

It's a good thing you're not playing hardcore games anymore. Right now I only casually play video games. I like it. Games serve no purpose but to entertain or relax, so there's no reason is should absorb my life. Game making, on the other hand, does serve a purpose. It's both fun and creative, and it feels great to release a side project you've been working on in your spare time over the past year. You can still meet with your friends, you can still attend parties, and you can still have a life. Game making is an art that I'm not giving up and hopefully you won't either.

I'm not sure if I count as a hardcore player. I'll go weeks at a time without even touching a game just to get the sudden urge to play it. I probably play a lot more often than casual players, but still...I like to think I'm somewhere in the middle.

I wouldn't consider myself hardcore either. But I do play games enough for them to make a noticeable impact on my life.

If you want a good casual game, play World of Goo. I love that game. It's art.

Whoa - I'm not that good yet. But maybe someday I will be... It's just so addicting.
